design engineer

Job description:
• generate conceptual designs or customize existing designs for proposals or projects from customer or internally generated specifications and prepare design layouts using 2D or 3D drawing packages
• verify design where necessary using classical analysis as well as FEA techniques; analyses will require to be formalized for inclusion in product design files and design documentation
• champion design proposals during design reviews
• prepare part reports, review detail drawings prepared from design layouts and make necessary engineering changes
• run small sales orders and research projects as a lead engineer
• develop junior members of the department through technical coaching and mentoring
Requirements:
• master degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably Mechanics and Machine Building)
• very good command of the English language is necessary
• solid technical knowledge with at least 5-year experience as design engineer in a product design environment
• at least 2-year experience in a lead engineer position or equivalent
• knowledge of modern engineering tools
• experience in leading, coaching and supporting junior technical personnel and ability to foster an environment of cooperation and trust
• drive and desire to achieve results and strive for high performance.
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• experience in oil and gas industry will be an advantage
